About Us
Georgetown Lights began in 1992. Peter and Nanette Sarno present it as a gift to their community. The hope and optimism of Peter's father (who was employed as a public school educator for over 40 years) was the original inspiration for the project.
The display has grown from just 2 plastic blow mold decorations and few lights strings in the first year to over 100 blowmolds, 60,000 plus lights and 120 computer controlled channels.
Georgetown Lights includes a radio station that broadcasts holiday music and old time Christmas shows - including Jack Benny and Burns & Allen via 89.5 FM. While it will never be the largest display of its kind, Nanette and Peter hope that you can pause for a moment to enjoy the lights and reflect fondly on memories of Christmas past.
The display is located at 144 Tenney Street, Georgetown, Massachusetts and it is usually lit from 5:30 PM to approximately 10:30 PM each night until January 6th.
